» Traditions - Martine Batchelor - 'Clap. Where Did The Sound Go?' - Interview by Renate McNay
Martine is a Buddhist meditation teacher and author of several books including: "Meditation for Life," "Women in Korean Zen," 'Let Go - a Buddhist guide of breaking free of habits.' From a young age she wanted to change the world. Reading the "Dhammapada" was a turning point and instead of trying to change the world she decided to change herself. She went hitchhiking to India to learn meditating and ended up in a Korean buddhist Monastery where she decided to become a nun. She stayed there for 10 years under the guidance of Master Kusan Sumin exploring "hwadus" and meditating.
